I started at Pilates for Life at the beginning of the year looking for help in managing my scoliosis. As a PT, I had been following Katie for a while as I knew she had a rehab background and was trained in Pilates specifically for scoliosis. A flare up of back pain made me pull the trigger and it has been the best decision! I did a private session initially to ensure it would be helpful and that I could do it pain-free, then transitioned to group classes. As a runner for 35 years, it is completely different to anything I've ever done before! It has been such a great addition to my routine, allowing me to strengthen and lengthen without pain and really complements the running! I feel taller and stronger each week. The instructors modify exercises as needed and really help to keep the focus on correct form, execution, and breath patterns. As a PT, I highly recommend Pilates for Life for both management of pain and general strength/fitness. They offer beginner sessions, modification classes, and private sessions in addition to their regular group classes to really reach all levels (teens to 60+, newbies/old pros, people recovering from injuries and/or those just wanting to get stronger) It has truly been a game changer for me! - CD

I have been attending classes for almost a year. I have noticed a great change in my core strength, my range of motion and overall strength. Instructors are great and motivational. They care about individualized needs, and give personal attention. Workouts always change and are always fun and challenging!

Pilates is a game changer. I am 54 years old and I have been attending classes for six months. My posture has improved, I’ve noticed decreased muscle and joint soreness and an increase in strength throughout my core and legs. The best thing though is how these improvements happen quickly and benefit you on a daily basis by giving you more energy and adding to your quality of life. Everything I do gardening, walking stairs, hiking and working have all become easier thanks to Pilates. The staff is wonderful and I’m so thankful that they do what they do. I love this studio! From the moment you walk in, the atmosphere is calming and professional. The instructors are knowledgeable; they really take the time to make sure you’re using proper form while still challenging you to push yourself. The studio is clean, organized, and equipped with everything you need, and the class sizes are small enough that you get personal attention. I have been attending Pilates at both the New Bremen and Botkins location weekly for almost four years now. I have noticed improvements in my core strength and flexibility. If I miss a week I definitely can tell. Pilates has become a staple in my fitness routine. It can be modified for anyone with ease. - AR
I have been going to the Botkins location for a couple years now. I am now doing Pilates throughout my pregnancy and have found it a huge help. I had been struggling with hip pain and Katie went out of her way to come up with some exercises and stretches to help. I have had multiple instructors all who have also helped incorporate these exercises and have enjoyed having all them bring a different style of teaching to the workouts. Whenever someone asks what I’ve found to help my hip pain I tell them Pilates. I highly recommend the Pilates for Life studio. You won’t be disappointed. - KM

Have you ever felt anxious about embarking on a new exercise at a new gym? Are you worried about not fitting in with people who look like they just stepped out of a fitness magazine? I can guarantee that once you step into the studios Pilates For Life offers that will melt away. I was terrified on my first day when I signed up for a private session, and Katie (the fantastic owner), was so welcoming and encouraging. She assured me that Pilates is quite literally for every •body•. Katie took her time to explain the proper breathing technique, body positioning and introduced me to the equipment. At the end of my first session Katie assured me I would be great in a class, so we picked one with Brooke two days later- Katie even lowered the class size to ensure I wouldn’t feel overwhelmed.
My first class with Brooke was incredible. She was energetic, personable, and so encouraging. I have since bounced between both studios, based on my schedule needs, and have taken classes with Shelbie, Amy R, Sarah, Lisa, Katie, Brooke, Jamie and Danielle over the last 9 weeks. My body feels healthier and stronger, and I feel more confident each class session- even when I make a mistake all of of the instructors have been great to show the correction for the exercise and encouraging to try again. They are able to modify exercises for students, if necessary, without any hesitation. The women at Pilates For Life are truly there to help everyone feel better about themselves in their daily lives.
I am so grateful I took the leap and signed up (and I am especially grateful there is no contract ). I can’t wait to continue on my health journey with Pilates For Life. - KT

I've been going to Pilates for Life and it's been great! As a runner, it's very important to have overall strength and be as efficient as you can, the Pilates classes are designed to make that happen. First of all, I really enjoy going to the classes! The sessions are great because I know I'm getting a huge benefit from them. Pilates offers a full body workout at a low impact level. I always feel like I had a great workout and accomplished what I wanted when I'm done. We use different equipment and techniques to improve overall balance, flexibility, and strength. Core strength is incorporated in every workout and combined with specific workouts on different parts of the body. Pilates is great because it's a great tool to get better at running or any other sport. - BA
I have fallen in love with Pilates! It is a great exercise and strengthening program. More importantly Katie is a miracle worker. After a back surgery with an unexpected consequence, I was unable to walk unassisted. I did months of PT which helped, but I looked for alternatives. Katie's training in physical therapy, and extensive Pilates knowledge, has been the most amazing rehab for me. I ended up having a second surgery and she is my angel. I no longer walk with assistance and my pain is better after going to class. I am most impressed with how she cares for each person in the class. She can tailor to any fitness level or modify for injuries and problem areas. I can't say enough about this. After 5 months out of work, I know it is because of this program that I am back to work. Katie and the other instructors are a blessing to this community. Please try it out! - EY

I began Pilates 2 years ago in a last ditch effort to relieve hip pain. I was going to the chiropractor once a week and receiving cortisone shots. After faithfully attending Pilates twice a week for 2 months, I was pain free. No more shots or chiropractor. I am so convinced that Pilates works that after retiring from education, I became a Pilates instructor for Pilates for Life.
I continue to have physical goals like stand up straight at eighty, go down the curly slide with the great grandkids at 90 and be as active as I can be. Never too late to start. It is truly a journey for life once you begin Pilates. - AR
I started taking my daughter, Lily, to the New Bremen facility about a month ago. Lily is 16 and a sophomore at St.Marys Memorial. She is very active in volleyball, basketball and started running track this year. She had a hip injury in volleyball about a year ago and we have done several things to help her but it seems to reoccur. I spoke with Katie in March at the beginning of track season as she was experiencing some pain from running. Katie told us to come and try a class and Lily was hooked. She is now able to really stretch her hip area and has not experienced the pain she was having before. The instructors that she has worked with so far(Katie, Shelbie and Amy) have been wonderful. They really personalize your workout to work for you. Lily and I highly recommend this place to any athlete that is looking to get a great workout in and if fighting an injury they really work to get you back to the highest level of competition.
